Officially it's CA$26.99/month, also priced directly in CAD — per Google's official plans page, checked July 2026 (there's also a lighter "AI Plus" tier at CA$13.99/month with 2TB, for reference). Those aren't the same kind of number: ours is a fixed prepaid duration, Google's is a monthly subscription that keeps billing every month. Compare the effective monthly rate above, or the two totals over the same number of months, rather than reading $23.95 next to $26.99 as if they were directly interchangeable.
xAI's SuperGrok tier adds the Grok 4.5 model, higher rate limits, and image/video generation on top of free Grok. Officially it's $30/month — per xAI's own pricing page, checked July 2026. Unlike OpenAI and Google above, xAI doesn't show Canadian-dollar pricing directly, so a Canadian card is typically charged that $30 converted from USD, plus whatever foreign-transaction fee your card issuer applies. Worth being precise about this: OpenAI and Google already bill Canadians directly in CAD, so there's no currency-conversion saving to be had on those two from any Canadian seller — the saving is purely the lower sticker price. xAI is the odd one out, showing only a flat USD figure with no Canadian pricing, so a Canadian card gets that $30 converted at whatever rate and foreign-transaction fee your bank applies — on top of xAI's own price. That's the one of the three where "priced in CAD" removes an actual FX cost, not just a markup.
If you want the most broadly capable, mainstream assistant for everyday writing and research, ChatGPT Plus is the safe default. If you're already living in Gmail, Docs and Drive and want the storage bump alongside it, Google AI Pro fits naturally into that workflow. If you want real-time web/X search and image or video generation with high usage limits, SuperGrok is built for that.
